The first story in Barthelme's first collection - Come Back, Dr. Caligari - he was 33. The edition with a Milton Glaser cover is a rare example of a (incredible) book with a cover of equal quality.
Ebay collections go for 150 or so dollars while amazon has copies listed for 8. My interest is piqued. http://www2.csusm.edu/profe/441king.htm8 bucks is nothing.
